  Almost done!!! This Thursday at noon will mark the end of the Fall 2007 semester (and the official "halfway through law school" mark!). Excited :) My travel plans:

Dec. 21-30: Chicago
Dec. 30-Jan. 2: LA
Jan. 2-9: Hawaii!!!
Jan. 9: back in LA
Jan. 14: Spring semester starts :( (at least I only have class a couple days a week!!)

  My days are slowly getting booked for the week that I'm in Chicago. But there shall be a lot of fooding (Teddy's, Patio, Jimmy Dogs, Buffalo Joe's, Joy Yee's, Hong Min, etc!!!) and gaming (Rock Band!!! And finally my DS will get action too). I'll probably go out a few days (looks like Krem this coming Saturday?) and hit up the usual Asian scenes to see some familiar faces (and booties :P). Also LOTS of catching up to do with movies (Enchanted, Golden Compass, I Am Legend, etc.). And lots of cuddle time on the couch with my girls :D VERY excited!!

  I'm spending NYE in LA for the first time...but should be interesting considering I'll have my family here and tons of other people will be in town for the Rose Bowl! Also going to the Rose Parade this year :D And then HAWAII!!!!! I'm so excited! To frolic in the waves, eat yummy food, get a tan, drive around the islands, and maybe even see some old friends :)

  So if you're around, get at me! I have not seen many of you in a while :D I am definitely open to cuddle time on the couch, gaming, fooding, dancing the nights away, and catching up :)

  It's definitely been a while since my last post...and a lot has happened since then. I don't really have the time or motivation to blog anymore, but I thought I'd at least put something new up. All my new pics are on facebook or my picasa.

  What's new with me? I've been living in my new apt. with Vivian for a few months now and it's been great! Definitely more living area and play room. She and I make pretty wonderful roomies since we both share a lot of the same interests and friends yet remain pretty independent and private about our space. The only real downfall is that we get along so well that we often spend our weekends just chilling at home watching tv or anime together and eating lotsa good food. And cooking! I'm gonna take up cooking next semester since I'm going to have an awesome schedule (classes only two days a week).

  In other news, I accepted an offer to work at a large firm in downtown LA this summer. Won't post the name here since I wouldn't want my future employers to somehow link back to me :P Not just yet anyway! Pretty sweet deal, gonna be a lot of fun...I can't wait! haha! That pretty much cements my stay in LA for a while though. So come visit!

  Finals in a week and a half...this semester really flew by quickly. I'll only be in Chicago for break from Dec. 21-30 because my family's going to Hawaii for the remainder. I'll be spending NYE in LA!! That'll be different :P So if you're around and want to play from Dec. 21-30, let me know!! I plan to hit up all my fave Chicago eateries (Buffalo Joe's, Teddy Red Hots, Potbelly's, Jimmy Dogs, Joy Yee's, and The Patio to name a few) and probably club once or twice. Is the Chicago Asian scene still the same as always??? hehe

  I guess that's all I have to say for now...I've become wary about posting personal things in an open blog like this nowadays since I'm heading into a professional career where I wouldn't want any tarnishment. But...let's just say that things are wonderful right now and I'm happily looking forward to life in the future :)

  First post from my new apt.!!! Still settling in and currently stealing internet from someone. I'll take pictures when everything is all set, but all I have to say...is I love my new place :) You can't go wrong with TWO red couches. :D Okay, just a picture post cuz this is one of the cutest pic ever!!! I <3 my Mommy!! This is her with all our leftovers from Joy Yee's last time I was in Chicago.

  Haven't updated in a while...and also haven't posted any new pictures. Don't know if I'll ever get around to that, actually, since I think most of them are on Facebook already and nobody checks here that often.

  Today's one of the last days in my old apt. I move out officially tomorrow and begin residing in my new 2BR/2Ba with Vivian. It's pretty tight looking already...nice living area. And I finally get the red couch that I've been eying almost all my life!! haha! Good times in the future for sure...I can't wait to get settled into that new place and start making it home.

  Whenever I move out, I always look back on the memories I've created in that place. Looking back on my old posts, I wrote when I left the dorms for the first time and finally when I left NU altogether. Those were good days in Plex and Library Place. Many a memories. I always seem to reflect a little as I pass each milestone in my life.

  So what about this place? A year ago, I moved into this apt. knowing almost nobody in LA. Embarking on my first year of law school, I was anxious and a little homesick, especially after Steven and my mommy left after moving me into my new apt. I spent a lot of time in this apt...countless hours studying through the night with only my tv and music to keep me company. I rarely had visitors over since my place is so small, but it has held enough visitors in the last few months to go out with a bang.

  I look back on pictures of when I first moved into my apt. and I can't help but wonder...am I where I wanted to be a year later? A year ago...if I told myself this is how my life would be, would I be happy?

  There have certainly been some unexpected developments this year, but I guess I can say that life has taken me where I need to go and I'm still okay with it. I've survived my first year of law school relatively unscathed. I have a pretty awesome summer job that my professor is offering to extend to the fall if I have time. I got into the Interdisciplinary Law Journal program for this coming year. I've got my positions in Asian Pacific American Law Students Association (APALSA) and Asian Pacific American Bar Association (APABA) to keep me busy all year. Fall On-Campus Interviews (OCI) coming up and also registration. Hopefully I can get into the Intellectual Property (IP) Clinic for the fall. Gonna be a busy year...hope I'm not overextending myself.

  I've made some amazing friends out here and only further cemented the friendships I've had for almost half my life. The first of my girls is done and married. Everybody going their own separate ways in the pursuit of happiness (happyness? hehe). Finished the chapters to some relationships in my life but successively started new ones.

  Am I happy with how things turned out, a year later? I suppose so. You never know how your life will unfold. Any plans you make for the future are often thwarted by your own little decisions, the choices of others and how you react to them. I am happy to have stuck with who I've wanted to be and what I've wanted to do, trotting along to wherever that may take me. Each decision, each turn...just another dot in the path towards the end. Whatever that may be.

  And...that is all. I guess the next post will be from my new apt. :)

  A lot to update on...no time to do it. Enjoying it all too much :) Nakama are the best. <3 Will get around to new pics.......eventually. Here's one to sum up the past weekend.
